Lit Up

Reese’s book club is narrowing down the top 5 manuscripts! It’s almost time!!

I have no idea if I’m one of them - the what-ifs are consuming me. If I get it, if I’m selected… idk, my joy will be otherworldly. I’ll be way closer to publishing my book and being chosen as an author. If I’m not accepted, then plans B and C come into play.

Plan B - hire an editor (thanks, Karina May, for your rec!), submit to agents, and see if I can be traditionally published.

Plan C - Self-Publish —> Hire an editor, hire a cover artist, and do the dang thing.

I submitted my manuscript in April 2022 (8 months ago). Actually, the day I applied was Passover, a very important Jewish holiday. Most days I try not to think about it, but I’m manifesting like crazy the acceptance of my manuscript. When I do think about it, I get extremely excited and proud of myself. What if it is me? I tell myself it will be me.

I’ve made my journey public, and honestly, I’ll be devastated if I don’t get chosen, but at the end of the day, my journey won’t be over. Elle (her working title) will be published. I’ll hold her in my hands one day. I’d just prefer to do it with Reese’s Bookclub/ Lit Up.
